Manuela is a hard working single mom, who has raised her son by herself. On his 17th birthday, they go to the theater, but, after the show, Esteban is run down by a car and killed while chasing the main actress for an autograph. Manuela is dipped in sorrow, quits her job and decides to look for the boy’s transgender father in Barcelona, although he doesn’t even know his son existence. During her search, she will meet an old friend and bond with him and his group of friends- until tragedy strikes again.

The film won multiple awards in major festivals, such as European Film Awards and Oscar Awards.
