Agamemnon returns victorious to Mycenae from the war in Troy, but is murdered by his conniving, unfaithful wife Klytemnaestra and her lover Aegisthus. Agamemnon’s son, Orestes, is secretly sent away by his mentor, but Electra, the king’s daughter, remains in Mycenae and watches her mother marry Aegisthus. With time, hatred and the need for revenge grow stronger within her.
